Utilities Code § 60.082","heading":"PORTABILITY GUIDELINES.","body":"(a) Because a uniform national number plan is valuable and necessary to this state, the commission by rule shall adopt guidelines governing telecommunications number portability and the assignment of telephone numbers in a competitively neutral manner.\n(b) The rules may not be inconsistent with the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission regarding telecommunications number portability.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 166, Sec. 1, eff.
