Water Code § 15.901","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Fund\" means the disadvantaged rural community water and wastewater financial assistance fund.\n(2) Repealed by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 1151, Sec. 17(1), eff. June 18, 2005.\n(3) \"Rural community\" means:\n(A) a municipality or county with a population of less than 5,000;\n(B) any portion of a political subdivision with a service population of less than 5,000 that is located outside the boundaries or extraterritorial jurisdiction of a municipality; or\n(C) a predominately residential area with a population of less than 5,000 that is located outside the corporate boundaries of a municipality.\n(4) \"Disadvantaged rural community\" means a rural community with a median household income that is not greater than 75 percent of the median state household income for the most recent year for which the applicable statistics are available.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1234, Sec. 22, eff.
