Water Code § 27.047","heading":"RULES.","body":"The railroad commission shall adopt rules and procedures reasonably required for the performance of its powers, duties, and functions under this subchapter, including rules for:\n(1) the geologic storage and associated injection of anthropogenic carbon dioxide, including:\n(A) geologic site characterization;\n(B) area of review and corrective action;\n(C) well construction;\n(D) operation;\n(E) mechanical integrity testing;\n(F) monitoring;\n(G) well plugging;\n(H) postinjection site care;\n(I) site closure; and\n(J) long-term stewardship;\n(2) the enforcement of this subchapter and rules adopted by the railroad commission under this subchapter; and\n(3) the collection and administration of:\n(A) fees imposed under Section 27.045;\n(B) penalties imposed for a violation of this subchapter or rules adopted by the railroad commission under this subchapter; and\n(C) funds received from financial responsibility mechanisms under Section 27.073.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 224 (S.B. 1387), Sec. 2, eff.
