Water Code § 36.103","heading":"IMPROVEMENTS AND FACILITIES.","body":"(a) A district may build, acquire, or obtain by any lawful means any property necessary for the district to carry out its purpose and the provisions of this chapter.\n(b) A district may:\n(1) acquire land to erect dams or to drain lakes, draws, and depressions;\n(2) construct dams;\n(3) drain lakes, depressions, draws, and creeks;\n(4) install pumps and other equipment necessary to recharge a groundwater reservoir or its subdivision; and\n(5) provide necessary facilities for water conservation purposes.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 933, Sec. 2, eff.
