Water Code § 49.237","heading":"DISTRICT CONSENT REQUIREMENT.","body":"(a) This section applies only to a district that:\n(1) provides potable water or sewer service;\n(2) contracts for or employs peace officers;\n(3) maintains a fire department;\n(4) has within its boundaries:\n(A) a private airport with a runway exceeding 5,900 feet in length; and\n(B) a hotel; and\n(5) is located in two counties.\n(b) The area within a district described by Subsection (a) may not be included without the consent of the district in the boundaries of a municipality that provides law enforcement or fire protection services.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 1356 (S.B. 1498), Sec. 1, eff.
