Water Code § 5.708","heading":"PERMIT FEE EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN RESEARCH PROJECTS.","body":"(a) In this section:\n(1) \"Institution of higher education\" has the meaning assigned by Section 61.003, Education Code.\n(2) \"State agency\" has the meaning assigned by Section 572.002, Government Code.\n(b) If a permit issued by the commission is required for a research project by an institution of higher education or a state agency, payment of a fee is not required for the permit.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 965, Sec. 3.03, eff.
