Water Code § 51.072","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTOR.","body":"(a) To be qualified for election as a director, a person must:\n(1) be a resident of the state;\n(2) own land subject to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter in the district; and\n(3) be at least 18 years of age.\n(b) Section 49.052 does not apply to a district governed by this chapter whose principal purpose is providing water for irrigation.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 110, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
