Water Code § 53.146","heading":"MAINTENANCE FUND.","body":"(a) A district shall have a maintenance and operating fund. The fund consists of all money collected by assessment or otherwise for maintaining and operating the property of the district.\n(b) The board shall use the money in this fund to pay:\n(1) all salaries of officers and employees, other than that of the assessor and collector; and\n(2) operating expenses.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 413, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
