Water Code § 55.048","heading":"NAME OF DISTRICT.","body":"(a) The name of a district wholly within one county shall include the name of the county and a number. Districts wholly within one county shall be numbered consecutively as created, and no two districts may have the same number.\n(b) The name of a district with territory in two or more counties may include the names of those counties, or the district may adopt any appropriate name. The name may include a number, but the number may not be the same as the number of a district in any of the counties. The number of a district created in any county may not be the same as the number of a district with territory in that county and other counties.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 434, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
