Water Code § 55.497","heading":"NECESSARY VOTE.","body":"(a) In a district operating under the authority of Article III, Section 52, of the Texas Constitution, a two-thirds vote of persons voting in the election is required to adopt a proposition to issue bonds or to enter into a contract with the United States.\n(b) In a district operating under the authority of Article XVI, Section 59, of the Texas Constitution, a majority vote of persons voting in the election is required to adopt a proposition to issue bonds or to enter into a contract with the United States.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 465, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
