Water Code § 56.020","heading":"ENGINEER.","body":"(a) If the findings of the commissioners court under Section 56.019 of this code favor creating the district, the commissioners court shall appoint a competent civil engineer, who shall be entitled to as many assistants as necessary.\n(b) The engineer and his assistants are entitled to the compensation and allowances for transportation, supplies, and other expenses agreed on by the engineer and the commissioners court.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 499, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
