Water Code § 58.177","heading":"JOINT ACQUISITION OF MORTGAGED SYSTEM BY TWO OR MORE DISTRICTS.","body":"(a) Two or more districts jointly may acquire by gift, grant, or purchase any part of an irrigation system serving the districts subject to a mortgage or encumbrances in the same manner that a single district may acquire the system.\n(b) In the proceedings authorizing the acquisition, the boards of the respective districts shall define clearly the respective rights, interest, and liability of the districts in the acquired property and in the mortgage or encumbrance.\nAdded by Acts 1977, 65th Leg., p. 1537, ch. 627, Sec. 1, eff.
