The petition shall be signed by a majority in number of the property owners with land in the district and the property owners of a majority in value of the land in the district, as shown by the tax rolls of the district, or 50 landowners if the number of landowners in the district is more than 50.\nAdded by Acts 1977, 65th Leg., p. 1537, ch. 627, Sec. 1, eff.
