Water Code § 60.035","heading":"NOTICE OF CERTAIN OIL, GAS, AND MINERAL LEASES.","body":"(a) Before a district may enter into a lease under Section 60.034, the district shall have a notice requesting bids on the lease published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district. The notice shall be published at least once a week for two consecutive weeks before the final date for the receipt of bids. Chapter 71, Natural Resources Code, does not apply to a lease made under this section if the lease is made in accordance with this section and Sections 60.036 and 60.037 of this chapter.\n(b) The notice shall include:\n(1) the approximate amount of land offered;\n(2) the general location of the land;\n(3) the time and place for receipt of bids;\n(4) the place where specifications may be obtained;\n(5) information concerning security for the bids; and\n(6) a statement that the commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 110, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
