Water Code § 62.0631","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS.","body":"(a) Instead of electing commissioners as provided in Section 62.063 of this code, the commissioners court or board may appoint three navigation and canal commissioners to serve on the commission.\n(b) The commissioners shall hold office for a term of two years and until their successors are appointed and have qualified.\n(c) Commissioners may be removed from office by a majority of the commissioners court or the board for malfeasance or nonfeasance in office.\n(d) Successors to members of the commission shall be appointed by a majority vote of the commissioners court or the board.\nAdded by Acts 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 1771, ch. 518, Sec. 18, eff.
