Water Code § 63.090","heading":"PLACING NAMES OF CANDIDATES ON BALLOT.","body":"A candidate for commissioner must file an application with the secretary not later than 5 p.m. of the 45th day before the date of the election to have the candidate's name printed on the ballot. Also, a candidate's name may be placed on the ballot by petition of 20 or more qualified electors of the district filed with the secretary by the deadline stated in the preceding sentence.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 110, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
