Water Code § 68.102","heading":"PETITION FOR CREATION.","body":"A district may be created only if the commissioners court of the county in which the district is proposed to be created receives a petition requesting the district's creation. The petition must be signed by:\n(1) the owners of a majority of facilities in the proposed district; and\n(2) the owners of a majority of the assessed value of facilities in the proposed district according to the most recent certified property tax rolls of the county.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 913 (H.B. 3011), Sec. 1, eff.
