{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-10-3-606","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 10-3-606","heading":"Rules of order and procedure.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"rules of order and procedure\" means a set of rules that govern and prescribe in a public meeting:\n(a) parliamentary order and procedure;\n(b) ethical behavior; and\n(c) civil discourse.\n(2)\n(a) Subject to Subsection (2)(b), a municipal legislative body shall:\n(i) adopt rules of order and procedure to govern a public meeting of the legislative body;\n(ii) conduct a public meeting in accordance with the rules of order and procedure described in Subsection (2)(a)(i); and\n(iii) make the rules of order and procedure described in Subsection (2)(a)(i) available to the public:\n(A) at each meeting of the municipal legislative body; and\n(B) on the municipality's public website, if available.\n(b) Subsection (2)(a) does not affect a municipal legislative body's duty to comply with Title 52, Chapter 4, Open and Public Meetings Act.","path":["Title 10 Utah Municipal Code","Chapter 10-3 Municipal Government","Part 10-3-6 Public Meetings, Executive Sessions, Records and Publication, Procedure"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title10/Chapter3/10-3-S606.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"80ca06d08c4eb72dcdb2ef967c97c2a01ffd1da967f582e353b717bafda5a58b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-10-3-605","next":"us-ut/utah-code-10-3-607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
