{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-10-5-125","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 10-5-125","heading":"Treasurer -- Duties.","body":"(1) The town treasurer is custodian of all money, bonds, or other securities of the town.\n(2) The town treasurer shall:\n(a) determine the cash requirements of the town and provide for the investment of all money by following the procedures and requirements of Title 51, Chapter 7, State Money Management Act;\n(b) receive all money payable to the town, within three business days after collection, including all taxes, licenses, fines, and intergovernmental revenue;\n(c) keep an accurate detailed account of all money received under Subsection (2)(b) in the manner provided in this chapter and as directed by the town council by ordinance or resolution; and\n(d) collect all special taxes and assessments as provided by law and ordinance.","path":["Title 10 Utah Municipal Code","Chapter 10-5 Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for Utah Towns"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title10/Chapter5/10-5-S125.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"89c24a83cf2d305447b78a392c15e449017c6e8976dc66d94fbc5e74c7071d87","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-10-5-124","next":"us-ut/utah-code-10-5-126"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
