{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-10-6-118","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 10-6-118","heading":"Adoption of final budget -- Certification and filing.","body":"(1) Before June 30 of each fiscal period, or, in the case of a property tax rate increase under Sections 59-2-919 through 59-2-923, before September 1 of the year for which a property tax increase is proposed, the governing body shall by resolution or ordinance adopt a budget for the ensuing fiscal period for each fund for which a budget is required under this chapter.\n(2) The budget officer of the governing body shall certify a copy of the final budget and file the copy with the state auditor within 30 days after adoption.","path":["Title 10 Utah Municipal Code","Chapter 10-6 Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for Utah Cities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title10/Chapter6/10-6-S118.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5df60f7a1312106fe00a4e7c14a2d4ae17adc158dcf7422dbaf4dcb4203e7808","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-10-6-117","next":"us-ut/utah-code-10-6-119"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
