{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-10-6-159","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 10-6-159","heading":"Financial administration ordinance -- Provisions.","body":"The financial administration ordinances adopted pursuant to Section 10-6-158 shall provide for the following:\n(1) a maximum sum over which all purchases may not be made without the approval of the mayor in the council-mayor optional form of government or the governing body in other cities; however, this section does not prevent the mayor in the council-mayor optional form of government or the governing body in other cities from approving all or part of a list of verified claims, including a specific claim in an amount in excess of the stated maximum, where certified by the appropriate financial officer or officers of the city;\n(2) that the financial officer be bonded for a reasonable amount; and\n(3) such other provisions as the governing body may deem advisable.","path":["Title 10 Utah Municipal Code","Chapter 10-6 Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for Utah Cities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title10/Chapter6/10-6-S159.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"3f81db78b1e30b395571f024123d94fe589fb25b742e908fe8280dac0609bccc","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-10-6-158","next":"us-ut/utah-code-10-7-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
