{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-10-8-85.11","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 10-8-85.11","heading":"Golf courses -- Limitations on municipal ordinances restricting golf course maintenance.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Golf course\" means:\n(i) a privately owned golf course that is located, in whole or in part, within municipal boundaries; or\n(ii) a golf course located, in whole or in part, within municipal boundaries, that is owned by a county, municipality, or other governmental entity.\n(b) \"Maintenance operations\" means mowing or trimming grass as part of the routine upkeep of golf course grounds.\n(2) Except as provided in Subsection (3), a municipality may not enact or enforce an ordinance that prohibits a golf course from conducting maintenance operations between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.\n(3) A municipality may prohibit or restrict maintenance operations at a golf course at any time if the golf course is owned by the municipality.","path":["Title 10 Utah Municipal Code","Chapter 10-8 Powers and Duties of Municipalities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title10/Chapter8/10-8-S85.11.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"a29b0984fb7d067a47afbb57c19515063471235d00c75759e1302ce00be9d0e0","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-10-8-85.10","next":"us-ut/utah-code-10-8-86"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
