{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-13-606","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-13-606","heading":"Members of a segment.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided by a segment's organizing resolution in accordance with Subsection (2), a segment's associated entity is the sole member of the segment.\n(2) A segment's organizing resolution may provide that a segment's membership includes a public agency other than the segment's associated entity only if the organizing resolution provides:\n(a) the relative rights, powers, and duties of the segment's members;\n(b) whether the members exercise the members' rights and powers and discharge the members' duties in one or more classes or groups;\n(c) the method by which a member's membership in the segment is terminated;\n(d) the effect of a member's termination; and\n(e) the effect of the termination of the last member's membership in the segment, including the effect on the existence of the segment.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-13 Interlocal Cooperation Act","Part 11-13-6 Taxed Interlocal Entities"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter13/11-13-S606.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"f9a2b7fe9c853b3ddbb6accbadaa6e1c6e7c3aeced5f2aed5df160e1820fb8b3","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-13-605","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-13-607"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
