{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-14-204","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-14-204","heading":"Challenges to voter qualifications.","body":"(1) Any person's qualifications to vote at a bond election may be challenged according to the procedures and requirements of Sections 20A-3a-205 and 20A-3a-803.\n(2) A bond election may not be invalidated on the grounds that ineligible voters voted unless:\n(a) it is shown by clear and convincing evidence that ineligible voters voted in sufficient numbers to change the result of the bond election; and\n(b) the complaint is filed before the expiration of the time period permitted for contests in Subsection 20A-4-403(3).\n(3) The votes cast by the voters shall be accepted as having been legally cast for purposes of determining the outcome of the election, unless the court in a bond election contest finds otherwise.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-14 Local Government Bonding Act","Part 11-14-2 Bond Elections"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter14/11-14-S204.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5d8b8bc804a78288fae52dd59cf214c2ed8c819564df3405bc7d620b27448ab5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-14-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-14-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
