{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-39-104","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-39-104","heading":"Exceptions.","body":"(1) The requirements of Section 11-39-103 do not apply to:\n(a) emergency repairs;\n(b) a building improvement or public works project if the estimated cost under Section 11-39-102 is less than the bid limit; or\n(c) the conduct or management of any of the departments, business, or property of the local entity.\n(2) This section may not be construed to limit the application of Section 72-6-108 to an improvement project, as defined in Section 72-6-109, that would otherwise be subject to Section 72-6-108.\n(3) This part applies to a building improvement or public works project of a special service district only to the extent that the contract for the building improvement or public works project is in a class of contract designated under Section 17D-1-107 as subject to this part.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-39 Building Improvements and Public Works Projects"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter39/11-39-S104.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ec215046825b56661a51ab3765b76376580dc5660f09258e73dd852af89eaba7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-39-103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-39-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
