{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-55-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-55-103","heading":"General provisions.","body":"(1) A political subdivision may authorize a board member who serves on a board within or created by the political subdivision to receive per diem and travel expenses for meetings actually attended at a rate that the political subdivision establishes, subject to Subsection (2).\n(2) A political subdivision may not establish rates for payment of per diem and travel expenses described in Subsection (1) that exceed the rates established in accordance with:\n(a) Section 63A-3-106;\n(b) Section 63A-3-107; and\n(c) a rule adopted by the Division of Finance in accordance with Sections 63A-3-106 and 63A-3-107.\n(3) Nothing in this section limits or supercedes the authority of a political subdivision to set compensation in accordance with Section 10-3-818, 11-13-403, 17-75-501, 17-76-503, 17B-1-307, or 17D-1-305.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-55 Political Subdivision Board Compensation"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter55/11-55-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"bee9af20eb5ab88106208920ee4cbca147407accb6d5674d1a4b12af2a0eee80","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-55-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-56-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
