{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-70-303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-70-303","heading":"Board quorum -- Chair and officers -- Compensation.","body":"(1) A majority of voting members constitutes a quorum, and the action of a majority of voting members constitutes action of the board.\n(2) Upon a vote of a majority of all voting board members, the board may appoint a board chair and any other officer of the board.\n(3)\n(a) A board member who is not a legislator may not receive compensation or benefits for the member's service on the board, but may receive per diem and reimbursement for travel expenses incurred as a board member as allowed in:\n(i) Sections 63A-3-106 and 63A-3-107; and\n(ii) rules made by the Division of Finance according to Sections 63A-3-106 and 63A-3-107.\n(b) Compensation and expenses of a board member who is a legislator are governed by Section 36-2-2 and Legislative Joint Rules, Title 5, Chapter 3, Legislator Compensation.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-70 Utah Fairpark Area Investment and Restoration District","Part 11-70-3 Fairpark District Board and Executive Director"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter70/11-70-S303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e2d4b0968ae55df5a86589cfed2b7323d5205b9830c105efda62b961ea8fc69a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-70-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-70-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
