{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-71-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-71-202","heading":"Major sporting event venue zone revenue.","body":"(1) The following are approved revenue sources for a major sporting event venue zone:\n(a) property tax increment for:\n(i) the major sporting event venue zone, for at least 25 years but no more than 40, as approved by the committee; and\n(ii) if applicable, the secondary project area, for at least 25 years but no more than 40, as approved by the committee;\n(b) local sales and use tax increment for the major sporting event venue zone, for at least 25 years but no more than 40, as approved by the committee; and\n(c) revenue generated by a tax described in Section 11-71-201.\n(2) Revenue generated from a source described in Subsection (1):\n(a) is major sporting event venue zone revenue; and\n(b) shall be administered by the creating entity or a fiscal agent designated by the creating entity.\n(3) If a creating entity designates a fiscal agent to administer major sporting event venue zone revenue, the creating entity and fiscal agent shall first enter into an interlocal agreement:\n(a) governing the administration, distribution, use, and management of major sporting event zone revenue; and\n(b) with terms that are consistent with this chapter and Title 63N, Chapter 3, Part 17, Major Sporting Event Venue Zone Act.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-71 Major Sporting Event Venue Zones","Part 11-71-2 Financing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter71/11-71-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9fedb1fec4478a0c1fab71f72aad01478e89327ebd2476f2a7254f2ce4a5cf46","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-71-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-71-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
