{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-11-71-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 11-71-301","heading":"Private-public partnerships for a major sporting event venue.","body":"(1) A person that seeks to enter into a private-public partnership with a creating entity shall provide the creating entity with an application that:\n(a) demonstrates the applicant is qualified to operate, in whole or in part, a major sporting event venue; and\n(b) provides any additional information required by the creating entity.\n(2) A creating entity may enter into a private-public partnership:\n(a) if, after reviewing the application described in Subsection (1), the creating entity determines a private-public partnership will promote the objectives of the major sporting event venue zone; and\n(b) through an agreement described in this section.\n(3) An agreement to create a private-public partnership between a person and a creating entity:\n(a) may establish or recognize an ownership interest in the major sporting event venue for the person, in consideration of the person's financial investment in the major sporting event venue;\n(b) may establish an ownership interest in the major sporting event venue for the creating entity, in consideration of the creating entity's financial investment in the major sporting event venue zone; and\n(c) may create a lease interest for the person in the major sporting event venue.","path":["Title 11 Cities, Counties, and Local Taxing Units","Chapter 11-71 Major Sporting Event Venue Zones","Part 11-71-3 Partnership Agreements"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title11/Chapter71/11-71-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b0630b9564c142aeb41c154cf6f6cca4f70941bc91831c53eb60bdabdb4a187a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-11-71-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-11-72-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
