{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-32a-110","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-32a-110","heading":"Administrative or civil penalties -- Criminal prosecution.","body":"(1) A violation of any of the following sections is subject to an administrative or civil penalty of not more than $500:\n(a) Section 13-32a-104, tickets required to be maintained;\n(b) Section 13-32a-104.5, database information from coin dealers;\n(c) Section 13-32a-104.6, database information from automated recycling kiosk operators;\n(d) Section 13-32a-104.7, database information from catalytic converter purchasers;\n(e) Section 13-32a-106, transaction information provided to the central database;\n(f) Section 13-32a-108, retention of records;\n(g) Section 13-32a-109, holding period for property;\n(h) Section 13-32a-110.5, transactions with certain individuals prohibited;\n(i) Section 13-32a-111, fees to fund account; or\n(j) Section 13-32a-112.1, annual training.\n(2) This section does not prohibit civil action by a governmental entity regarding the operation or license of a pawn or secondhand business or catalytic converter purchaser.\n(3) The imposition of civil penalties under this section does not prohibit criminal prosecution by a governmental entity for criminal violations of this chapter.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-32a Pawnshop, Secondhand Merchandise, and Catalytic Converter Transaction Information Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter32a/13-32a-S110.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c2ebd0790421ad63eff6738a8103e8658444de19afaeaedb0066ba7e7ff18a60","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-32a-109.5","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-32a-110.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
