{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-38a-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-38a-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1)\n(a) \"Financial transaction card\" means any card, code, or other means of access to a person's account issued to a person that allows the person to obtain, purchase, or receive any of the following:\n(i) goods;\n(ii) services;\n(iii) money; or\n(iv) anything else of value.\n(b) \"Financial transaction card\" includes:\n(i) a credit card;\n(ii) a credit plate;\n(iii) a bank services card;\n(iv) a banking card;\n(v) a check guarantee card;\n(vi) a debit card;\n(vii) a telephone credit card; and\n(viii) a device for access as defined in Section 7-16a-102.\n(2) \"Receipt\" means any document related to the transaction of business provided to a person that uses a financial transaction card.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-38a Financial Transaction Card Protection Act","Part 13-38a-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter38a/13-38a-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"40fd53baa87b8eb8366424895d22f861930253c7edac87696ea7461d377c2ae3","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-38a-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-38a-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
