{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-39-303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-39-303","heading":"Administrative enforcement.","body":"(1) The attorney general:\n(a) shall investigate violations of this chapter; and\n(b) may bring an action against a person who violates this chapter.\n(2) A person who violates this chapter is subject to:\n(a) a cease and desist order or other injunctive relief; and\n(b) a fine of not more than $2,500 for each separate communication sent in violation of Section 13-39-202.\n(3)\n(a) A person who intentionally violates this chapter is subject to a fine of not more than $5,000 for each communication intentionally sent in violation of Section 13-39-202.\n(b) For purposes of this section, a person intentionally violates this chapter if the violation occurs after the attorney general or a district or county attorney notifies the person by certified mail that the person is in violation of this chapter.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-39 Child Protection Registry","Part 13-39-3 Enforcement"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter39/13-39-S303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"162c02b3bc558a1077000c2631c1393dd31f848b431d23d22b94504fe834fb82","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-39-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-39-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
