{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-42-130","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-42-130","heading":"Advertising.","body":"(1) If a provider whose agreements contemplate that creditors will reduce finance charges or fees for late payment, default, or delinquency advertises debt-management services, it shall disclose, in an easily comprehensible manner, that using a debt-management plan may make it harder for the individual to obtain credit.\n(2) If a provider whose agreements contemplate that creditors will settle for less than the full principal amount of debt that advertises debt-management services, it shall disclose, in an easily comprehensible manner:\n(a) the information specified in Subsections 13-42-117(4)(e) and (f); and\n(b) the provider's settlement fee structure, consistent with the limitations of Section 13-42-123.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-42 Uniform Debt-Management Services Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter42/13-42-S130.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"7eafdefb7baef57d3a58fb46bba4dae13350a32a6a2a6240da0c4f94c25d081c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-42-129","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-42-131"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
