{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-45-506","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-45-506","heading":"Fees.","body":"(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), a consumer reporting agency may not charge a fee for any service performed under this part.\n(2) A consumer reporting agency may charge a reasonable fee, which does not exceed $5, for each placement or removal of a security freeze under this part, unless:\n(a) the protected consumer's representative:\n(i) has obtained a police report that states the protected consumer is the alleged victim of identity fraud; and\n(ii) provides a copy of the report to the consumer reporting agency; or\n(b)\n(i) the protected consumer is less than 16 years of age at the time the request is submitted to the consumer reporting agency; and\n(ii) the consumer reporting agency has a file that pertains to the protected consumer.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-45 Consumer Credit Protection Act","Part 13-45-5 Credit Report Protection for Minors"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter45/13-45-S506.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"a99ba60b11436164b3dd7fcdf04421ba5e8c4ef042dfd83ee25569b9e7b9679c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-45-505","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-45-601"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
