{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-13-53-106","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 13-53-106","heading":"Disclosure to participants.","body":"(1) Before accepting a participant, a residential vocational or life skills program shall provide to the prospective participant a written disclosure.\n(2) The written disclosure shall include:\n(a) a statement that the program is a registered residential vocational or life skills program, but that the residential vocational or life skills program is not endorsed by the state or the division;\n(b) a statement that the prospective participant's continuation in the program is voluntary and that a participant may leave at any time;\n(c) the conditions under which a participant is removed from the residential vocational or life skills program or required to leave a program facility;\n(d) a statement that the residential vocational or life skills program will contact the Division of Adult Probation and Parole created in Section 64-14-202, if required by law; and\n(e) a description of:\n(i) the lodging, food, clothing, and other resources that are available to a participant;\n(ii) the nature and scope of the residential vocational or life skills program, including any activities or work that a participant is required to perform;\n(iii) the scope and substance of peer-led activities;\n(iv) the types of vocational training available to a participant, including the limitations on availability;\n(v) the nature and extent of possible exposure to profanity, accusation, confrontation, nonphysical threats, or nonphysical corrective interaction;\n(vi) the terms of any prohibition from contact with a participant's family, friends, or associates; and\n(vii) any crimes committed within the previous two years at the residential vocational or life skills program facility or at a vocational training entity affiliated with the residential vocational or life skills program.","path":["Title 13 Commerce and Trade","Chapter 13-53 Residential Vocational Or Life Skills Program Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title13/Chapter53/13-53-S106.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5fc694b3f1d8a39e6c8d070d42133ff924b850ad7992a9b639ca0cc7bcd0bc1f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-13-53-105","next":"us-ut/utah-code-13-53-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
