{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-10a-723","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-10a-723","heading":"Shares held by nominees.","body":"(1) A corporation may establish a procedure by which the beneficial owner of shares that are registered in the name of a nominee is recognized by the corporation as the shareholder. The extent of this recognition may be determined in the procedure.\n(2) The procedure described in Subsection (1) may set forth:\n(a) the types of nominees to which it applies;\n(b) the rights or privileges that the corporation recognizes in a beneficial owner, which may include rights or privileges other than voting;\n(c) the manner in which the procedure may be used by the nominee;\n(d) the information that shall be provided by the nominee when the procedure is used;\n(e) the period for which the nominee's use of the procedure is effective; and\n(f) other aspects of the rights and duties created.","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-10a Utah Revised Business Corporation Act","Part 16-10a-7 Shareholders"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter10a/16-10a-S723.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9436c1002a405e1e391d190f0b9c22066b80590de09eb8d0fc884cc06227b8da","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-10a-722","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-10a-724"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
