{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-514","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-16-514","heading":"Voting requirements for members.","body":"(1) If a limited cooperative association has both patron and investor members, the following rules apply:\n(a) the total voting power of all patron members may not be less than a majority of the entire voting power entitled to vote; and\n(b) action on any matter is approved only upon the affirmative vote of at least a majority of:\n(i) all members voting at the meeting unless more than a majority is required by this chapter or the organic rules; and\n(ii) votes cast by patron members unless the organic rules require a larger affirmative vote by patron members.\n(2) The organic rules may provide for the percentage of the affirmative votes that must be cast by investor members to approve the matter.","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-16 Uniform Limited Cooperative Association Act","Part 16-16-5 Members"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter16/16-16-S514.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"7b6d56a44e5ceca3a88ed6ae160565407d65e6f6052453c9e4b1ed27bf85cf0c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-513","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
