{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-807","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-16-807","heading":"Removal of director.","body":"Unless the organic rules otherwise provide, the following rules apply:\n(1) Members may remove a director with or without cause.\n(2) A member or members holding at least 10% of the total voting power entitled to be voted in the election of a director may demand removal of the director by one or more signed petitions submitted to the officer of the limited cooperative association charged with keeping its records.\n(3) Upon receipt of a petition for removal of a director, an officer of the association or the board of directors shall:\n(a) call a special meeting of members to be held not later than 90 days after receipt of the petition by the association; and\n(b) mail or otherwise transmit or deliver in a record to the members entitled to vote on the removal, and to the director to be removed, notice of the meeting which complies with Section 16-16-508.\n(4) A director is removed if the votes in favor of removal are equal to or greater than the votes required to elect the director.","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-16 Uniform Limited Cooperative Association Act","Part 16-16-8 Directors and Officers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter16/16-16-S807.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9c2515a79d6bb695433656ba92d752a5c8f9063423bd1c6cd2bb6fb0ee2e77cc","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-806","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-16-808"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
