{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-4-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Corporation\" means a nonprofit corporation or a profit corporation.\n(2) \"Nonprofit corporation\" means a nonprofit corporation as defined in Section 16-6a-102.\n(3) \"Profit corporation\" means a corporation as defined in Section 16-10a-102.\n(4) \"Share\" means a share as defined in:\n(a) Section 16-6a-102 for a nonprofit corporation; and\n(b) Section 16-10a-102 for a profit corporation.\n(5) \"Water company\" means a corporation in which a shareholder has the right, based on the shareholder's shares, to receive a proportionate share of water delivered by the corporation.","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-4 Share Assessment Act","Part 16-4-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter4/16-4-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b2744dd642dc3eafda8dcc3ceee75c0a5f06de40743e02c211156f56c463816f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
