{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-206","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-4-206","heading":"Service and publication of notice of assessment.","body":"(1) The notice of assessment required by Section 16-4-205 shall be:\n(a) personally served on each shareholder; or\n(b) sent by first-class mail to each shareholder at the address shown on the corporation's records.\n(2) A shareholder is responsible for providing the shareholder's current mailing address to the corporation for purposes of Subsection (1).\n(3)\n(a) Except as provided in Subsection (3)(b), a notice of assessment shall be published:\n(i) once a week for two weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the location of the corporation's principal place of business; and\n(ii) in accordance with Section 45-1-101 for two weeks.\n(b) A water company may elect not to publish notice under Subsection (3)(a).","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-4 Share Assessment Act","Part 16-4-2 Assessments"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter4/16-4-S206.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4d48e08bf84b6638877d58d85d52c56fc32d3af8987445f934462b53ca17bb55","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-205","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-4-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
