{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-16-7-5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 16-7-5","heading":"Amendments of articles of incorporation.","body":"(1) A corporation sole formed under this chapter may alter or amend its articles of incorporation.\n(2) An amendment described in Subsection (1) shall:\n(a) be made by the corporation sole;\n(b) be executed by:\n(i) the person who executed the original articles of incorporation; or\n(ii) the successor in office to the person described in Subsection (2)(b)(i);\n(c) specify the name, title, and street address of the person described in Subsection (2)(b); and\n(d) be filed in the same manner as is provided for the filing of the original articles.\n(3) A corporation sole altering or amending its articles of incorporation after May 3, 2004, shall comply with Subsection 16-7-15(1).","path":["Title 16 Corporations","Chapter 16-7 Corporations Sole"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title16/Chapter7/16-7-S5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"5823c864e807d04da43e4f1c1c191b94c420316fff09854011fa9c96ab04b969","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-16-7-4","next":"us-ut/utah-code-16-7-6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
