{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-60-509","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-60-509","heading":"Golf courses -- Limitations on county ordinances restricting golf course maintenance.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Golf course\" means:\n(i) a privately owned golf course that is located, in whole or in part, within an unincorporated area of the county; or\n(ii) a golf course located, in whole or in part, within an unincorporated area of the county, that is owned by a county, municipality, or other governmental entity.\n(b) \"Maintenance operations\" means mowing, trimming, or related activities necessary for the routine upkeep of golf course grounds.\n(2) Except as provided in Subsection (3), a county may not enact or enforce an ordinance that prohibits a golf course from conducting maintenance operations between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 10 p.m.\n(3) A county may prohibit or restrict maintenance operations at a golf course at any time if the golf course is owned by the county.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-60 General Provisions Applicable to Counties","Part 17-60-5 Limitations on County Power"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter60/17-60-S509.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8167e2cd26aaa30ae21d7e7e8358819682d382ceba1be6dda5faae8ab6a468a5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-60-508","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-61-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
