{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-64-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-64-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Chair\" means the member of the legislative body selected under Section 17-64-304.\n(2) \"County officer\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17-66-101.\n(3) \"Finance officer\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17-63-101.\n(4) \"Legislative body\" means:\n(a) a county commission; or\n(b) a county council.\n(5) \"Member\" means an individual who has been elected or appointed to serve on a legislative body.\n(6) \"Rules of order and procedure\" means a set of rules that govern and prescribe in a public meeting:\n(a) parliamentary order and procedure;\n(b) ethical behavior; and\n(c) civil discourse.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-64 County Legislative Body","Part 17-64-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter64/17-64-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b336b0e644f4eb86a764f098aa0c69317549d4999261fcfdb9421f7ae29c1d55","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-63-1101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-64-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
