{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-65-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-65-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Architect-engineer services\" means those professional services within the scope of the practice of architecture as defined in Section 58-3a-102, or professional engineering as defined in Section 58-22-102.\n(2) \"Finance officer\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17-63-101.\n(3) \"Interim vacancy period\" means:\n(a) for a county commission form or expanded county commission form of government, the period of time that:\n(i) begins on the day on which a general election described in Section 17-66-202 is held to elect a commission member; and\n(ii) ends on the day on which the commission member-elect begins the commission member's term; or\n(b) for a county executive-council form of government, the period of time that:\n(i) begins on the day on which a general election described in Section 17-66-202 is held to elect a county executive; and\n(ii) ends on the day on which the county executive-elect begins the county executive's term.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-65 County Executive","Part 17-65-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter65/17-65-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"cae4c212d9cff0fd9971ad7904fbe39acac5ef1c011ddf0a4536608d33d99a9c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-64-505","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-65-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
