{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-69-202","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-69-202","heading":"Qualifications for a county auditor in a county of the first class.","body":"(1) In a county of the first class, in addition to the requirements described in Section 17-66-201, an individual filing a declaration of candidacy for the office of county auditor, an individual elected to the office of county auditor, or an interim replacement appointed under Subsection 20A-1-508(3), shall have one or more of the following professional certifications active and in good standing:\n(a) certified public accountant;\n(b) certified internal auditor;\n(c) certified fraud examiner;\n(d) certified management accountant; or\n(e) certified information systems auditor.\n(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to any other position within an auditor's office, except that a chief deputy or other individual filling the vacancy of an elected auditor in a county of the first class may not be appointed as an interim replacement under Subsection 20A-1-508(3) unless the individual meets the qualifications of Subsection (1) and Section 17-66-201.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-69 County Auditor","Part 17-69-2 Qualifications and Term"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter69/17-69-S202.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"cecfc299b50a4834cbb8fc20921c37261cabc66d88317015b0e778eb1783674a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-69-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-69-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
