{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-75-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-75-302","heading":"Bereavement leave following miscarriage or stillbirth.","body":"Personnel rules shall provide for at least three work days of paid bereavement leave for a county employee:\n(1) following the end of the county employee's pregnancy by way of miscarriage or stillbirth; or\n(2) following the end of another individual's pregnancy by way of a miscarriage or stillbirth, if:\n(a) the county employee is the individual's spouse or partner;\n(b)\n(i) the county employee is the individual's former spouse or partner; and\n(ii) the county employee would have been a biological parent of a child born as a result of the pregnancy;\n(c) the county employee provides documentation to show that the individual intended for the employee to be an adoptive parent, as that term is defined in Section 81-13-101, of a child born as a result of the pregnancy; or\n(d) under a valid gestational agreement in accordance with Title 81, Chapter 5, Part 8, Gestational Agreement, the county employee would have been a parent of a child born as a result of the pregnancy.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-75 General County Personnel Management","Part 17-75-3 Specific Employee Benefits and Protections"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter75/17-75-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"662e4bd89271f8538b3d09329964c9e9f6ed51410eff6463dd44446feedfc9b4","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-75-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-75-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
