{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-76-502","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-76-502","heading":"County fire civil service councils created.","body":"(1) There is created in each of the counties of this state having and maintaining a regularly organized fire department in which there are regularly employed four or more paid firefighters, a county fire civil service council consisting of three members to be appointed by the county executive.\n(2) Each member of the council shall serve for a term of three years except that the county executive shall appoint the original council members as follows:\n(a) one member for a period of one year;\n(b) one member for a period of two years; and\n(c) one member for a period of three years.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-76 County Emergency Personnel Management","Part 17-76-5 Firefighters' Civil Service Commission"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter76/17-76-S502.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"399cf6863c7511ebc455c5c0e937752952a3308ebe7b48bd2dcbbe9ac1031d97","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-76-501","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-76-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
