{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17-79-604","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17-79-604","heading":"Termination of a billboard and associated rights.","body":"(1) A county may only require termination of a billboard and associated rights through:\n(a) gift;\n(b) purchase;\n(c) agreement;\n(d) exchange; or\n(e) eminent domain.\n(2) A termination under Subsection (1)(a), (b), (c), or (d) requires the voluntary consent of the billboard owner.\n(3) A termination under Subsection (1)(e) requires the county to:\n(a) acquire the billboard and associated rights through eminent domain, in accordance with Title 78B, Chapter 6, Part 5, Eminent Domain, except as provided in Subsections 17-79-605(2)(f) and (h); and\n(b) after acquiring the rights under Subsection (3)(a), terminate the billboard and associated rights.","path":["Title 17 Counties","Chapter 17-79 County Land Use, Development, and Management Act","Part 17-79-6 Land Use Regulations - Particular Situations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17/Chapter79/17-79-S604.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b1131bba9ce997adbc5c1eff6da5a2fd5a3e23e3bcc56ff98451a8a8f07ca40b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17-79-603","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17-79-605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
