{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-1-703","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17B-1-703","heading":"Special districts to submit audit reports.","body":"(1)\n(a) Except as provided in Subsection (1)(b), within 30 days after it is presented to the board, the board of each special district with an annual budget of $50,000 or more shall send a copy of any audit report to:\n(i) each of its constituent entities that has in writing requested a copy; and\n(ii) each of its customer agencies that has in writing requested a copy.\n(b) Within 30 days after it is presented to the board, the board of a large public transit district as defined in Section 17B-2a-802 shall send a copy of its annual audit report to:\n(i) each of its constituent entities; and\n(ii) each of its customer agencies that has in writing requested a copy.\n(2) Each constituent entity and each customer agency that received the audit report shall review the audit report submitted by the district and, if necessary, request a meeting with the district board to discuss the audit report.\n(3) At the meeting, the special district board shall:\n(a) answer any questions about the audit report; and\n(b) discuss their plans to implement suggestions made by the auditor.","path":["Title 17B Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Special Districts","Chapter 17B-1 Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts","Part 17B-1-7 Special District Budgets and Audit Reports"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17B/Chapter1/17B-1-S703.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"a2c4c4771098b5c12aab7f85351c4033b8583abf2136e8a0d70415b13bf27cca","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-1-702","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-1-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
