{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-1104","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 17B-2a-1104","heading":"Additional municipal services district powers.","body":"(1) In addition to the powers conferred on a municipal services district under Section 17B-1-103, a municipal services district may:\n(a) notwithstanding Subsection 17B-1-202(3), provide no more than six municipal services;\n(b) assist a municipality or a county located within a municipal services district by providing staffing and administrative services, including:\n(i) human resources staffing and services;\n(ii) finance and budgeting staffing and services;\n(iii) information technology staffing and services; and\n(iv) treasurer, recorder or clerk, surveyor, engineer, or auditor services; and\n(c) issue bonds as provided in and subject to Chapter 1, Part 11, Special District Bonds, to carry out the purposes of the district.\n(2) A municipal services district that includes a converted municipality, as defined in Section 10-1-201.5, shall, upon request by the converted municipality, collect on behalf of the converted municipality all fines, fees, charges, levies, and other payments imposed by the converted municipality.","path":["Title 17B Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Special Districts","Chapter 17B-2a Provisions Applicable to Different Types of Special Districts","Part 17B-2a-11 Municipal Services District Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title17B/Chapter2a/17B-2a-S1104.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"c7881155afe23505d268718869aacf606f52843dfcc024fd1c1e26c6e1948cf4","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-1103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-17b-2a-1105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
